With the advent of smartphones and social media, unfaithful partners have more ways of going behind their significant other's back. But that also means they have more ways to get caught red-handed.

One woman is going viral after finding out that she was the other woman. Her reaction to the situation captivated millions of viewers, who tuned in for additional updates.

‘He's a cheater, girl'

Content creator Keelie Marie (@keeeliemarie on TikTok) shared a video that has more than 9.1 million views of her on FaceTime with her date's girlfriend. She'd seen his phone light up multiple times with an incoming call as they shared an Uber. So she snatched the phone from him, had a conversation with his girlfriend, and recorded the whole thing.

“Hi babe, you're beautiful,” the girlfriend said on the phone in the video. As one commenter pointed out in Marie's comment section, “she didn't sound surprised.”

“Oh, thank you, you are too,” Marie said while talking to the girlfriend via video call. “How do you know him? I'm literally no shade. I just…  He's acting like he doesn't know you.”

The woman on the other line revealed that she was the man's actual girlfriend. Marie was flabbergasted.

“Yikes, well, he's a cheater, girl,” Marie told the woman. “… He took me on a date for the first time a couple weeks ago, and then we met up for tonight.”

Marie asks her date about the situation

Marie then turned to her date. She asked him directly if he had a girlfriend. He started to howl with uncontrollable laughter. Soon after, the video ended, but Marie revealed in a comment that she and the girlfriend exchanged numbers and spoke after the whole fiasco.

Marie explained in a follow-up video that her date tried to act like he did not know who the girlfriend was.

“He didn't know who this unknown number was, and he thought it was really weird that a woman he didn't know was FaceTiming him and saying that she was his girlfriend,” Marie said.

The TikToker ended up sending the girlfriend “receipts” proving the fledgling relationship existed. She subsequently removed herself from the situation.

“I sent her screenshots, screen recordings of our texts, and everything like that,” Marie said. “And as for that man, I literally never talked to him again. I blocked his number and literally just wiped my hands of the entire situation.”

Commenters rallied around both Marie and the spurned girlfriend, hoping the latter would find the strength to leave him.

“The fact she needed more receipts after you literally being on FaceTime on his phone in an uber with him after he lied about his plans, and the fact she was searching for excuses … after listening to HER BF deny even knowing her while with another woman tells me, she is still with him,” one commenter wrote with a sobbing emoji. “I pray she gets the strength to leave.”

“You run a tight program,” wrote another viewer. “Something tells me his gf doesn't and is likely still with him cause what more receipts did she need. You were literally with him. Smh.”

How to tell if someone is cheating

There are countless comprehensive guides online outlining signs that might indicate a partner in a relationship is cheating, but a few key signs pop up consistently.

Experts like therapists agree that “there are common signs that point to cheating behaviors in a boyfriend,” including “a change in mood, increased distraction, less importance placed on the relationship, or more time spent on devices.” BuzzFeed has reported that these signs are commonly noticed by everyday people online who've been cheated on.

According to BuzzFeed, any increase in secrecy, “picking fights over small things,” guilt or defensiveness, or continued mentions of another person can be cause for suspicion. It's important to maintain open communication in a relationship and leave if it becomes unsafe or frequently uncomfortable.
