Australia is taking its fight with Big Tech one step further with a potentially world-first plan to give social media users an «off switch» for algorithms. Under the proposed «My Feed, My Way» rules, Australians aged 16 and older could reject algorithmically recommended content and choose a feed limited to accounts they intentionally follow, shifting control over what appears on their screens away from powerful technology companies.
