Woman kicks her husband out. Then she realizes he’s been secretly filming her. Now people want to know what her neighbor knew about it—and for how long

Almost everyone has skeletons in their closet, including our significant other. Sometimes, we don't know how terrible these secrets are until we say our vows and the “I do's” at the wedding altar. Over time, the mask they clung to starts to slip, and what was confidential starts seeping to the surface. A casual search for paperwork in one woman's ex-husband's computer unearthed a mountain of shocking secrets.
“So, I used to be married,” Georgia-based TikTok creator Kellie (@secondchancechick) says in a video that received more than 250,000 views. The content creator started filming in her bathroom, getting ready to do her makeup. Then, she dives into her story.
What did this woman find?
Kellie told her audience she found her husband's stash of photos of her by accident.
“One night, I got onto the computer, looking for some paperwork, and I found a folder with my initials on it.” Curious, she clicked it to see what was inside, only to uncover a plethora of unsolicited content.
“I found thousands of pictures of me naked. It turns out that he put hidden cameras in our home and was filming me naked for over a year,” she says. “When I investigated his Google history and the rest of the computer, I found out he had been uploading to these membership-only sites.”
But the secrets didn't stop there. After more digging, the content creator found his inappropriate sexual preferences and an alleged affair.
“My ex-husband, who only had to do a year of probation and got pled down from a felony to a gross misdemeanor because there aren't laws about this here in Georgia,” Kellie recounts. “The cops, the incompetent Cobb County DA just kept telling me, ‘Well, you're his wife.'”
In a follow-up video, she elaborated on the details. “When this happened to me in 2020, I felt really, really alone. I have no family here in Georgia. He isolated me from all of our friends,” she says. “Then, I have an extra layer to that [with a felony conviction]. Even calling the police to report this is a whole other layer because police contact is a no-no even when experiencing a crime when you're on parole.”

What were Georgia's wiretapping laws at the time?
Each state has its own laws regarding filming people without their knowledge. In Kellie's state of Georgia, only one party needs to consent to record audio. On the other hand, it's a two-party consent state to film someone or take photos in a private setting when they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. This would also apply to hidden cameras, as per the Reporters Committee in May 2020: “Georgia prohibits the use of a camera ‘without the consent of all persons observed, to observe, photograph, or record the activities of another which occur in any private place and out of public view.' Ga. Code Ann. § 16-11-62(2). A private place is defined as one in which a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy. Ga. Code Ann. § 16-11-60(3).”
If proven guilty, the person may face a felony, one to five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.
However, revenge-based content, such as what Kellie's husband allegedly did to her, was banned in the state in 2021. Harassing someone by posting and distributing unsolicited sexual photos and videos of them is classified as a misdemeanor. According to Fox Atlanta, it becomes a felony when it's posted on a “website, message board, or file-sharing site that promotes itself as an adult site.” Those found guilty have a similar fate, except they may be fined $100,000 instead of $10,000.
What did these cameras look like?
Later in her video, Kellie warns her audience about the cameras.
“So, the cameras look like this,” Kellie says, unveiling what appears to be an iPhone USB charging port block. “You know where some USB ports have an indentation? That's where the camera was, WiFi and Bluetooth enabled. I was charging my phone on them the whole time.”
According to her, there were cameras scattered throughout the entire house, including the living room, kitchen, by the bed, and the bedroom facing the bathroom door.
“I found out about them because after I found all the footage and kicked him out, [I] got him arrested. I went over to the neighbors' house because they had a teenage daughter,” she says. “I just wanted to warn them because I gave him the house and he's gonna move back into this house.”
Once the content creator informed the male neighbor, it dawned on him.
“Oh, yeah. That's what he wanted help setting [it] up,” she recalls the man saying. “Yeah, he asked me for help setting up this camera because he couldn't get them linked.”
From there, Kellie says she raced into the house to find them. “Mind you, he's been out of the house for over a month, and I found three more cameras,” she says. “He was able to watch me the entire time after he had been arrested.”

Other viewers shared similar situations of their partners secretly filming them without their consent.
“My ex put cameras outside and one day texted me to ask where I was going. I got a ladder and ripped them off the house,” one viewer recounted.
“Same story… Its disturbing finding out after the fact…15 years of control and monitoring without knowing,” another remarked.
“My ex had one pointed directly at my toilet. And had one pointed directly at my shower at one point. They can be motion-activated with a speaker and have a [closed-loop Wi-Fi] system that doesn't connect to your [Wi-Fi],” a third shared.
“Oh my God, mine had one in our master bath,” a fourth said.
“Yes! My ex installed those. He'd watch me from outside the family room window too for hours. We lived together. I was lying on [the] couch watching TV in pain from [an] autoimmune condition. He did a lot more too,” a fifth added.
