Declassified Orb Videos Become Focus of Latest U.S. Government UAP Release

The latest release is part of a government-wide effort to «expeditiously find, review, identify, declassify and publicly release unresolved UAP-related records and historical documents in the federal government’s possession.» The newly published files include videos, witness statements, investigative summaries and historical records from multiple agencies.

Although the disclosure contains numerous documents, attention quickly centered on two videos involving glowing orb sightings. Both incidents occurred in the northeastern United States and were later reviewed by federal authorities. The reports were included among the latest publicly released UAP records.

One of the featured cases is titled «Orbs Over the Pond.» According to government records, the event occurred in October 2024 at approximately 1851 local time. An eyewitness reported observing a bright object hovering above a pond at an estimated distance of roughly 2,700 feet.

The witness described the object as a «plasma-like sphere» that periodically changed shape and brightness. Investigators noted that the primary luminous source occasionally appeared to separate into smaller points of light. Another luminous point reportedly hovered just above the water and did not appear consistent with a surface reflection.

According to the official summary, the object remained generally stationary for approximately 45 minutes before disappearing. The witness reported hearing no sound during the event. The footage was captured on an iPhone by a private citizen and later submitted to authorities. Officials stated that the video was only cropped to protect the witness’s identity.

The government noted that the description was derived from statements provided to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. According to the released document, the FBI considers the reporting witness «highly credible.» Investigators also indicated that the incident may be related to several other reports originating from the same general area.

The second video released in the disclosure package is labeled «Northeastern Orb Sighting» and documents an event reported in July 2025. According to the witness statement, the individual observed an intense bright light in the backyard after returning home from work and parking a vehicle.

The witness’s spouse also observed the phenomenon and described it as a «brilliant red sphere» approximately one meter in diameter. According to the report, the center of the object appeared to contain a white plasma-like «sun» roughly the size of a basketball. The object was said to hover silently near a tree line.

According to federal records, a second identical orb later appeared above the first object. Both witnesses reported that the lights moved smoothly and silently together as if flying in formation. The witnesses stated that the objects eventually appeared to merge before disappearing from view beyond a nearby tree line.

The footage was recorded using an iPhone 14 Pro Max and later reviewed by investigators. The FBI assessed both witnesses as credible. Officials also noted that the observation occurred within 25 miles of several other documented orb sightings, including incidents known as «Triangle Orbs,» «Red Orb Rotation» and «Orbs Over the Pond.»

Beyond the orb videos, the latest disclosure includes historical UAP records dating from 1949, 2008, 2022 and other years. The files illustrate the long history of government investigations into unexplained aerial phenomena. Officials continue to stress that the records do not constitute proof of extraterrestrial life and that many cases remain unresolved. Nevertheless, the two glowing orb videos have quickly become the centerpiece of the latest release, generating renewed discussion about some of the most unusual reports contained within the government’s expanding archive of declassified UAP records.
