Content creator April Sanders (@itsaprilsanders) said that she had a “delicious” meal at the steakhouse chain that was relatively affordable — in comparison, the regular 6-ounce sirloin at Texas Roadhouse costs $16.99 with two sides — but can customers really order off the kids' menu? Or is it off limits for adults?
Wait, can anyone really order a kids' meal?
While Sanders reported getting a steak off the kids' menu, can everyone order from it?
Chowhound reports that the children's menu at Texas Roadhouse is specifically “designed” for children 12 and under. But the publication notes there's no specific age verification policy. At certain Texas Roadhouse locations, customers may not be able to order kids' menu items.
One commenter echoed this and said they were denied the kids' menu items.
“Last time I asked for a kids meal I got denied there,” they said.
But there are ways to get around the supposed restriction. Some Texas Roadhouse locations bend the rules for customers and allow them to order off the kids' menu. Sanders herself reported that she ordered from the kids' menu, presumably with no child in sight.
Other commenters, too, said that they regularly take advantage of the kids' menu despite the supposed age restriction.

What are Texas Roadhouse's other kids' menu options?
The steakhouse offers multiple different kids' meal options: chicken tenders, steak bites, ribs, and hot dogs are some of the offerings that customers can choose from.
So what should a customer pick? The answer is up to personal opinion, but Tasting Table did its own ranking of the kids' menu items from worst to best that may illuminate what's popular.
Reporter Carmen Varner roped in a toddler, pre-teen, and teenager to determine what the best kids' menu items were. Specifically, the reporter compiled the 11-year-old's opinions on the dining options. The result? The child picked out “Andy's steak” as the top selection from the steakhouse. Following that was the all-beef hot dog, the macaroni and cheese, and the “Lil' Dillo steak bites.”
Kids' entrees such as the Jr. chicken tenders and the ribs basket fell to the bottom of the list. The mini-cheeseburgers, which use Texas Roadhouse's iconic butter rolls, ended up in last place.
In the comment section of Sanders' video, viewers expressed love for the steak bites, which are “even cheaper” than what Sanders ordered.
