Natalie Harp has been around Donald Trump for a while now. Harp has been a constant by the president's side since she was given an unofficial role in 2022. Dubbed ‘the human printer', Harp follows the president everywhere he goes with a portable printer in tow. Why a printer? Because the 80-year-old president struggles to read anything on a screen. Harp prints out emails, statistics, Tweets, and everything else the president consumes. Harp, 34, spends all day, every day with her elderly idol, and now her brother has commented on the relationship.

According to an interview with the Daily Mail, Preston Harp is deeply disturbed by his sister's relationship with Trump. Preston Harp isn't the only one disturbed by his sister's obsession with the president; the Secret Service and Trump's own chief of staff have both expressed concern. Harp reportedly leaves ‘gushing' letters in the president's personal spaces for him to find later on. According to a report from two New York Times reporters, one of the letters said ‘you are all that matters to me'. Certainly not the kind of letter an employee should leave their manager.

So who is the Trump-obsessed aide following around the president? Natalie Harp is a former host at the right-wing news network OAN. OAN, infamous for its blatant propaganda, pro-Trump messaging, and engagement in conspiracy theories, has a reputation, and Harp made good on that reputation during her time there. She featured regularly on FOX News in 2019, claiming that Trump's right-to-try law had saved her life by giving her a medication that cleared up bone cancer, though multiple news sources have questioned the story. Since her appointment in 2022, she has risen through the ranks of Trump's goons, becoming the ultimate yes-woman for the president.

Harp family drama

Harp's brother, Preston, has bounced their family's name into the mainstream media cycle after an inflammatory interview with the Daily Mail, a conservative tabloid. Preston, who lives in Nicaragua, claims he found out about his sister's relationship with Trump after reading an article advertising her as Trump's “glamorous new assistant”. According to Preston, who the Daily Mail kindly described as a ‘long-haired hippy', the siblings always had a rift.

According to Preston, his sister was significantly closer to their extremely religious, conservative mother, while Preston was closer to their father. Their father committed suicide in 2020, causing a permanent rift in the family. Preston claims that his sister and mother wanted to tell their community that Robert Harp passed away in his sleep, in fear of the church's judgment on suicide. Preston moved to Nicaragua after his father's death and cut ties completely with his sister and mother.

Trump on Harp

Donald Trump has made his appreciation of his follower very clear. Trump claimed in an interview that Harp was the only person on earth who loved him as much as his wife and children. The president also claimed that she is the only person who would never leave him, claiming that while others would chase money, she would stay loyal. Harp's behaviour around the president has concerned the Secret Service as well.

The Secret Service officially labelled Harp a ‘potential danger' to the president, citing her obsession with him as a potentially dangerous issue.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt refused to comment on Harp's relationship with the president when asked. She claimed that Harp is among Trump's most loyal workers (something nobody was questioning). Harp's obsession with Trump is apparently no secret among White House staff.

In Michael Wolff's book All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America. Wolff claimed that Harp's obsession with Trump was an open secret, and also described seeing letters that Harp left for Trump. Wolff described one letter in particular where Harp claimed she was ‘unworthy' of President Trump's support.

While it's extremely clear that Harp has an unhealthy obsession with Donald Trump, the president doesn't seem to be complaining.

Trump's aide is clearly an integral part of his life, and his behaviour at the G7 might corroborate that theory.

Donald Trump was caught reaching for the hand of France's first lady, Brigitte Macron, multiple times during the summit. Trump often looked lost and confused, and was seen taking the hand of Macron multiple times, looking to her to guide him to his next photo op.

It seems to imply that Donald Trump is used to relying on a blonde aide worker, and he mistook Macron for an aide.
