I’m pretty loyal to my clogs and running shoes. They’re comfortable, they go with almost everything I own, and neither pair has ever asked me to balance 18 inches above the ground, which I now realize is something I should appreciate more often. Looking through the history of shoes has also made me suspicious of the word “trend.” Half the time, we’re not inventing anything.
