In a dramatic turn of events last night (April 28), on the heels of the Canadian federal election that saw Mark Carney’s Liberals retain power, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre was defeated in his riding.

Beaten by Bruce Fanjoy, who is attracting a great deal of interest this morning, Pierre Poilievre was quick to point out that he intends to stay on as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, even though he officially no longer has a seat in the House of Commons in Ottawa.

A decision that surprised many.

Time will tell how the Conservative Party will orchestrate the future of Pierre Poilievre, who is currently no longer an elected MP.

There are already rumours of serious infighting within the CPC…
