On February 28, 2026, the United States of America seemingly bombed an all-girls elementary school in Iran, killing more than 150 children and teachers.

On March 27, during a UN Human Rights Council meeting, several UN states expressed disapproval with the illegal strike.

According to UN sources, death tolls actually surpassed 170, with at least 160 children being killed by the strike. The Council was called together for an emergency debate to discuss the attack on the school. The Shajareh Tayyebeh Girls’ School in Minab was struck on the first day of Donald Trump’s war on Iran.
