TikTok user Sudowudo (@sudowudo61) walked into a Walmart looking for storage tubs. He walked out with a video, a scolding, and a minor mystery—an entire aisle, per his account, restocked with bins tagged at $0.75 apiece, and someone off-camera very quickly telling him to put the phone away.

The clip is brief and bewildered. On-screen text reads, “Someone replaced the entire [a]isle with tubs, and priced them $0.75,” followed by a chain of laughing emojis. The hashtags—#haha, #walmar[t], and #usaa—suggest amusement.

Then the audio cuts in. Someone off-camera has told him something he doesn't want to hear.

“Don't make what? I'm sorry. Are you telling me I can't record?” he says. “I don't want that guy. You're telling me I can't record the debacle, and I just wanted two bins?”

The transcript doesn't identify who confronted him because you can't really see their faces well, or whether the pricing was legitimate clearance, a rogue employee's mislabel, a shopper's sticker prank, or something Sudowudo staged himself. The clip doesn't answer it.

What is clear: he wanted two bins and instead got asked to put the phone away.

‘This Happens Every Year'

“Does the tag match the product, if not then no, you can't have it for 75 cents,” said one person.

More people caping for the conglomerate came to the rescue. “It's private property and technically you can't record on their property,” said another poster.

But something started popping up in the comments—this might have been on purpose.

There are other possibilities. Creator Austin Adams (@austin_adams214) went viral peeling back yellow “clearance” stickers to reveal lower original prices underneath, warning viewers “[we] be getting scammed.”

Tennessee shopper Jimmy Wrigg (@james_wrigg) drew millions of views weighing packages of Walmart chicken that came in at nearly half their labeled weight. “They're straight ripping people off,” he said.

Whether Sudowudo's aisle joins that lineage of pricing screwups—or is just a mystery bin run—depends on somebody on the Walmart side explaining what actually happened. But there were some clues in the comments section.

A Likely Story

A few people did provide a likely possibility, and the best explanation came from someone who appears to work for the company: “Walmart does this when we are replacing the seasonal items. I guess its just to make the [a]isles not look empty.”

Another person concurred, writing, “Walmart policy. Can't have an empty shelf. They are doing seasonal changeover. Summer products out, Halloween in.”
