When I was a budding teen, I used to sniff through pop culture magazines, saving up every little bit of money I had just to buy one at the nearest convenience store. Most of the time, the deciding factor in whether I’d buy one was the free One Direction posters, but hey, the contents inside proved to be equally golden! Turns out, teenage me was participating in a tradition that had already been perfected decades before Harry Styles was even born.
