Man can’t find favorite snack anywhere—then his sister goes to Lowe’s: ‘Hardware munchies are the best’

Not being able to find your favorite snack can be frustrating. Especially after scouring far and wide at different stores, only to end up empty-handed. But one man shared how his sister discovered his beloved treat at the most unconventional place: Lowe's.

“What does it mean if I really like this snack and I couldn't find it anywhere else?” TikToker Rylee (@burnt_rye). “Then, my sister texts me, and she said, ‘I finally found it. They have it at Lowe's.'”

Because Lowe's is a home improvement store, it puzzled him how she wound up finding it there. “The place that sells toilets and mulch,” he says, chuckling. “Nah, I'm good. I'm not hungry.”

‘I leave with more snacks than hardware'

Rylee's video racked up over 406,000 views, resonating with viewers. Apparently, many viewers' go-to treats have been found in the most random businesses.

“I was trying to find these and they only had them at Ace Hardware,” one viewer commented, posting a photo of Tajín Chili and Lime-flavored Snak Club Apple Rings.

Although the content creator didn't name the snack, he replied to a viewer who shared the same hankering: “So this is the snack I was talking about LMAO.”

“Every time I go to Menard's, I leave with more snacks than hardware,” another shared.

“I have to go to Home Depot if i want a specific flavor of monster cause literally no where else carries it,” a third revealed.

Despite others unearthing their favorite goodies at hardware stores, some were under the impression the creator was referring to a grocery chain with the nearly identical name.

“There is a lowes grocery store too,” one commenter remarked.

“You know there's a Lowe's grocery store too,” a second echoed.

Does Lowe's sell snacks?

While Lowe's food grocery stores are located in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia and have different types of food, snack, and beverage options, Lowe's home improvement stores do sell these goodies. Typically, energy drinks, sodas, chips, and candy are located in the front registers and online.

Even last year, one employee posted a photo of a $9 Harry Potter Hershey's bar on an r/Lowes subreddit. Another worker took it a step further by showing how many goodies they've noticed at their store.

“Why in the hell do we carry SO MUCH candy in the first place? And why specialty candy like this? Who goes to Lowe's to buy a miter saw and says, “Oh, WOW! Ten dollar Harry Potter chocolate bar! YAS. I have to have that!'” they said. “And the buckets and buckets of expired candy, chips, nuts, beef jerky, protein bars, and drinks we throw out each month make me nauseous.”

Therefore, stumbling upon a bag of Tajín Snak Club Apple Rings there isn't out of the realm of possibilities.
