Fast food is the ultimate hack for a lot of diners. It's affordable, delicious, and fast. Generally, customers don't see the food get made, so there's a lot of implicit trust in the streamlined process. Unfortunately, that trust sometimes gets broken. One woman is going viral for experiencing this disruption to her mealtime after ordering Chick-fil-A

‘I know y'all lying, Chick-fil-A'

Atlanta content creator Aaliah Jones (@liyah.mone) shared something unpleasant she'd found in her chicken sandwich. Her video has since accumulated more than 38,000 views.

Jones' video opened with her filming from the driver's seat of her car. Her camera was pointed toward a sandwich with several bites already taken out of it. Apparently, Jones had already gone to town on her sandwich before noticing something disgusting midway through.

As Jones zoomed into the chicken, the body of a large fly was clearly visible.

“Why the [expletive] is it a whole [expletive] fly cooked into my [expletive] sandwich?” Jones said. “Like, I know y'all [expletive] lying, Chick-fil-A.”

Jones said she was going to enter the Chick-fil-A and “go off.” She finished her video by demanding viewers to take a good, long look at the large fly.

“I need free Chick-fil-A for a year for this,” Jones wrote in her caption.

Is this the first time this has happened with Chick-fil-A?

Jones is far from the only Chick-fil-A customer to post a viral bug discovery. According to BroBible, a content creator named Marina found what she described as a “huge,” “hairy” moth in a Chick-fil-A salad. She said in her videos that when she told the location about it, staff “were not shocked.”

Jones' own viewers shared similar stories in her comment section. One viewer commented, “That happened to me too at chic fil a cooked right into the biscuit.”

Chick-fil-A's first standalone New York City location voluntarily closed in a 2016 health department shutdown, after inspectors cited the restaurant for not being “vermin proof,” for flies present in the facility, and for improper cold storage. More recently, in May 2026, Chick-fil-A was named in a national recall, as reported by The Healthy. Inspectors tied said recall to a supplier's milk powder with a potential salmonella contamination.

However, individual location health inspection scores—like those reported in a July 2026 article from the Beaverton Valley Times on health inspections in Washington County, Oregon—show wide variance from location to location.
