DeLorean is back

The car brand DeLorean rises from its ashes and unveils its new model, theAlpha 5.

Fans will find a family resemblance to the car driven by Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the new Alpha 5. The first thing that strikes the eye is that the car still has its bird wing doors. But that’s where the comparisons end.

TheAlpha 5, which will be officially unveiled to the trade press on August 18 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, is a 100 percent electric car.

The new car is the work of the renowned Italdesign studio. The result is impressive. The aerodynamic car (coefficient of drag of 0.23) is 5 m long by 2.04 m and 1.37 m high.

Little is known about the motorization for the moment. If it is not that theAlpha 5 will be able to swallow the 0 to 100 km/h in 2,99 seconds and will have a top speed of 250 km/h. The figures relating to its autonomy are not yet revealed.

The interior of the car is very pure and the roof leaves room for many glass surfaces.
