‘Don’t make me vomit’: Woman orders sandwich from Panera. Then she unwraps it

Folks on the internet are roasting Panera for its lack of roasting and attention to detail when making this customer's sandwich. Was the lack of care this sandwich suffered from an oversight or a norm?

TikToker Alexia's (@lexvxn) sandwich looks pretty sad. So much so that viewers can't stop laughing. The video shows Alexia unwrapping the sandwich.

“…what is going on @PaneraBread,” they caption the video. The video has almost 700 likes and 108,800 views.

What's up with this sandwich from Panera?

The video shows the sandwich in a bird's-eye view on Alexia's lap. For starters, the sandwich seems to be tiny. For comparison, Alexia places her index finger, and the bread is about 3/4 the size of her index finger in length.

The cheese is also way bigger than the bread. It seems to be a cold piece of white cheddar. The meal also has bacon. The slice of bacon is sticking out of the sandwich, also seeming a little too small.

Based on photos, the sandwich in the video seems to be Panera's Turkey Bacon Bravo. The Turkey Bacon Bravo comes with smoked turkey breast, smoked bacon, aged white cheddar, crisp mixed greens, vine-ripened tomatoes, salt and pepper, and the restaurant's Bravo sauce.

While the image on DoorDash's site looks like a tasty, well-put-together sandwich, Alexia's sandwich is a sad catfish, a failed dupe of the advertised image.

People hate on Panera

Folks in the comments are not surprised by the disappointment of this order at Panera.

“Panera is the most ridiculous restaurant ever why am I paying 20 dollars for half of a [expletive] sandwhich,” says one comment with over 2,000 likes.

“As someone who worked at Panera for 5 years I've served worse,” admits a former worker.

“Introducing, Panera's NEW low carb bread with 20% less carbs because it's 20% less bread than an average loaf!” another commenter trolls.

“My Panera is so bad they put mayonnaise in my salad and I never went back. I showed the manager and she was so mad,” someone else shares.

“The piece of bacon is frying me,” a different view notes.

Alexia is not alone in her disappointment. It seems that many are dissatisfied with the quality of the food at Panera lately. Subplot has reached out to Panera and Alexia for comment via email and TikTok message.
