Ed Sheeran burst into tears in this trailer of his documentary

The documentary starring Ed Sheeran at Disney+ promises to be emotional.

The musician’s meteoric rise to international stardom can certainly be seen in the trailer for the documentary about Sheeran’s life, titled Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All but the situation becomes very serious and touching when the singer talks about his wife Cherry, to the point where Sheeran bursts into tears.

“Everything in my life got so much better when Cherry came along,” the singer says in the trailer.

Cherry Seaborn had been diagnosed with cancer while pregnant with their second child, remember.

The father of two girls also burst into tears when he explained that in the same period, his friend Jamal Edwards died at the age of 31. Sheeran found himself in a very dark place, even explaining in an interview with Rolling Stone that he “didn’t want to live anymore.”

He explains in the trailer that he chose instead to write a song to help him through his grief.

The documentary, in four parts, will be available on Disney+ starting May 3!
