On May 2, Kim Kardashian turned heads on the Met Gala red carpet wearing the famous dress worn by the legend Marilyn Monroe when she sang her famous “Happy Birthday Mr. President” in1962 to U.S. PresidentJohn F. Kennedy.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, which purchased the dress at auction for nearly $5 million and continues to display it, released a statement last Thursday denying that the dress was damaged during Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala outing.
“We keep seeing stuff like: the dress is ruined!… Isn’t it all true?” the host asked.
“No. Ripley’s and I worked so well together; there were handlers in gloves who put it on me.”
