Kim Kardashian denies damaging Marilyn Monroe’s dress
Kim Kardashian wore an iconic Marilyn Monroe dress to the 2022 Met Gala in New York. While it appears that the dress was damaged, the reality TV star and businesswoman denies being the cause of it.

On May 2, Kim Kardashian turned heads on the Met Gala red carpet wearing the famous dress worn by the legend Marilyn Monroe when she sang her famous “Happy Birthday Mr. President” in1962 to U.S. PresidentJohn F. Kennedy.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, which purchased the dress at auction for nearly $5 million and continues to display it, released a statement last Thursday denying that the dress was damaged during Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala outing.

Kim Kardashian herself claimed her innocence when she appeared on the Today show.

When interviewed by Hoda Kotb, Kim K was adamant about it.

“We keep seeing stuff like: the dress is ruined!… Isn’t it all true?” the host asked.

“No. Ripley’s and I worked so well together; there were handlers in gloves who put it on me.”

After appearing on the red carpet, the star wore a copy, precisely so as not to damage the original.
