Kobe Bryant’s wife receives $29M in helicopter crash case

Kobe Bryant‘s wife, Vanessa, and his family have been awarded nearly $29 million as a result of the lawsuit involving the photos of the 2020 helicopter crash. That crash led to the death of Kobe, their daughter Gianna (13), and seven others.

The settlement in question includes $15 million to Ms. Bryant, plus additional funds awarded to settle potential future claims of her children, Natalia, 20, Bianka, 6, and Capri, 3.

“Today marks the culmination of Ms. Bryant’s courageous fight to hold those who engaged in this grotesque conduct accountable. She fought for her husband, her daughter and all those in the community whose deceased family was treated with such disrespect,” said Luis Li, Ms. Bryant’s attorney.

Following this tragic accident, many people arrived at the scene to take several pictures of the scene, including Gianna’s mutilated remains. These photos began to circulate between the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and were seen by some of the spouses.

As a result, Vanessa Bryant suffered from anxiety and panic attacks due to her fear that the bloody images of her husband and daughter would appear on the Internet.

Anyway, Mrs. Bryant will donate the money to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundationa non-profit sports organization founded by her husband.
