Lady Gaga lights up Venice while presenting Joker: Folie à Deux!

Lady Gaga joined director Todd Phillips (The Hangover, Joker) and her on-screen partner Joaquin Phoenix at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, held at the Palazzo del Casino on September 4.

Gaga shone as she answered journalists’ many questions at the photocall before the premiere of her film.

Lady Gaga blew kisses to her fans as she left the Palazzo del Casino.

At the photocall, Lady Gaga explained that to prepare for the film, she had to put aside some of her singing expertise, forgetting breathing techniques to allow the song to express itself fully through her character.

Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky arrived by boat for the red carpet presentation of Joker: Folie à Deux.

Expectations are high for Todd Phillips, Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix as they walk the red carpet and finally present their film in Venice.

This fall will be a busy one for Lady Gaga: in addition to the release of her film, she will unveil the first single from her album, due out in early 2025, much to the delight of her fans.

Gaga described Joker: Folie à Deux as “very special and extremely nuanced” compared to a classic musical film, pointing out that the song serves to express what cannot be said with words.

As lovers Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky light up the red carpet for Joker: Folie à Deux, the film is scheduled for theatrical release on October 4.
