The people targeted in this case were his parents, former Barcelona presidents Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu, and former Santos president Odilio Rodrigues Filho, in addition to three legal entities.
The accusations came from the DIS investment fund, the place that held Neymar's economic rights when he was a promising youngster. According to the firm, the real value of his transfer to Barça was concealed…
The prosecutor took it upon himself to announce the dropping of charges against all the defendants and for all the facts for which Neymar had the chance of being imprisoned for some years.
Initially, the prosecution was asking for two years in prison for Neymar Jr, in addition to a fine of 10 million euros.
The star could therefore fully focus on the World Cup that will start on November 20.
