A new generation of defensemen has emerged in the National Hockey League in recent seasons. They are strong, big and fast!

In 2021-22, one defenseman will be crowned the best in his profession, and will receive the Norris Trophy. The three finalists are now known.

Another returning finalist is Victor Hedman of the Tampa Bay Lightning. He also won the Norris Trophy in 2018.
