Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey and many stars honor Jean-Marc Vallée

Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern, stars of the series Big Little Lies directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, are among several Hollywood celebrities who have made financial contributions to the memorial fund in honor of the Quebec director who died tragically on December 25, 2021.

The Director’s Memorial Fund was created by Concordia University to provide an annual scholarship to students of the Mel Hoppenheim School of Film, and has been taken over by Hollywood, as many celebrities have made a donation in the director’s honor.

In addition to several actors from Big Little Lies, Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner from Dallas Buyers Club, a film also directed by Vallée, have reportedly contributed to the fund in memory of the director.

Finally, actress Naomi Watts, who was with Jean-Marc during the filming of Demolition, a movie released in 2015, has also joined the generous donors.

While the amounts of the donations seem confidential, it’s certainly a nice gesture from these stars that shows the director was appreciated by many…

We have to say that we miss Jean-Marc Vallée a lot, such a unique talent.
