Series based on this cult film finally got the green light

It’s almost official… a series based on Cruel Intentions, a 1999 cult film, will soon see the light of day as the giant Amazon has ordered the development of a series in an eight-episode format, reports People.

In 1999, the movie with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon was a huge success, contributing greatly (at the time) to the fame of these young actors!

And it was certainly the craziness surrounding the young couple composed of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe… a couple in real life!

This is not the first time that talks are underway to revive the story of Cruel Intentions.

Indeed, after a long deliberation in 2016, the NBC network had finally decided not to start the project of a sequel to the original film whose story would have taken place… 16 years later!
