In 1835, a New York newspaper began publishing a series of articles claiming that life had been discovered on the moon. The series successfully fooled an immense number of people. We always want to believe that we’re not alone in the universe, that there are creatures on other planets gazing back at us and wondering what we could possibly be like, but we have yet to find proof of their existence… or have we?
