The tallest teenager in the world is a 16-year-old from Quebec
Olivier Rioux is 16 years old and thanks to his great height, he is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest teenager in the world at 7 feet 6.

7 feet 6! Nothing less!

If Rioux has been the talk of the town for the past few days, it’s because of a photo that has been circulating on the networks, where the young man is next to Chuck Swirsky, a radio commentator for the Chicago Bulls who is 5 feet 8.

Of course, Olivier plays the number 5 position (pivot) in basketball and expectations are high. He is currently “dribbling” his second year at IMG Academy, but his participation in the Canada Summer Games has been the main reason he has made a name for himself.

He is definitely a specimen, but that doesn’t mean he should sit back and watch the parade go by. Olivier needs to continue to hone his mobility and agility, while still enjoying playing and competing.

“People see his size and their expectations are pretty high. For me, it’s the little things like his mobility and agility, how he moves, how he conceptualizes the game – how much fun he has competing and playing,” said Michael Meeks, Basketball Canada coach.

Olivier’s family is also very large, so the family home is adapted for giants, with higher ceilings, for example. The door frames have not been modified, however, so Olivier’s head has certainly met those frames many times before.

The kid doesn’t have to jump to dunk, check this out:
