Trump: «I run the country and the world»

In an interview with The Atlantic, Trump, in office for his second term for a 100 days, confided that he is very confident, even though he is facing very unfavorable polls regarding his job.

Yet this doesn’t seem to shake his confidence, as he describes himself as the man who runs… the world. «I run the country and the world,» he says in the interview with The Atlantic.

Bolstered by the Supreme Court ruling granting him presidential immunity…

…and surrounded by the loyalists within his administration, in addition to being rid of the lawsuits brought against him, Trump gives the impression of feeling fully liberated… and above the law.

He claims he no longer has to worry about «all these crooked guys» who, he says, hindered his first mandate.

A few days before the interview, Trump had announced that he would agree to talk to The Atlantic. Trump tried to justify his decision, even though the media had revealed, a few weeks earlier, the “Signalgate” scandal, a leak of information from a confidential discussion group involving Pete Hegseth and Vice President J.D. Vance, among others, about an imminent military operation.

He says he agreed to the interview to see if The Atlantic could be «truthful». For its part, The Atlantic describes Trump as having achieved one of the «most remarkable comebacks in political history» and believes he can now be considered «the most consequential American leader of the 21st century».
