The legendary Vin Scully, the voice of the Dodgers (Brooklyn and Los Angeles) for 67 years, and a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame since 1982, died on August 2 at the age of 94.

The legendary Bill Russell, an 11-time NBA champion with the Boston Celtics and a strong civil rights activist, died on July 31. He was 88 years old.

Nichelle Nichols

Actress Nichelle Nichols, known among other things for her role as Lieutenant Uhura in the cult series "Star Trek," died overnight on July 31 at the age of 89.

Paul Sorvino

Actor Paul Sorvino, known among other things for his role as Paul Cicero in "Goodfellas" died in his sleep on July 25. He was 83 years old.

David Warner

Former NHL player for the Jets, Blackhawks, Whalers, Oilers, Lightning, Sharks, Avalanche, Maple Leafs and Flames Bryan Marchment passed away at age 53 on July 6, in Montreal, in the preparation of the 2022 NHL Draft. He was working for the Sharks at the time.

Peter Brook

British theater legend and one of the most influential directors of the 20th century, Peter Brook, died on July 2 at the age of 97.

Mary Mara

The actress Mary Mara, known for her roles in "Law & Order", "Ray Donovan" or "NYPD Blue", died on June 26 at the age of 61.

Marlin Briscoe

The legendary Marlin Briscoe, who was the first black starting quarterback in the AFL, died June 27. He played for the Broncos (1968), Bills (1969-1971), Dolphins (1972-1974), Chargers (1975), Lions (1975) and Patriots (1976). He passed away at the age of 76.

Former NFL ball carrier Marion Barber was found dead in his home on June 1. The cause of his death is not known. He was 38 years old.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback player Jeff Gladney died in a car accident on May 30. He was 25 years old.

Ronnie Hawkins

Singer Ronnie Hawkins, former member of The Hawk and The Band, died of a long illness on May 29. He was 87 years old.

The keyboard player of the band Depeche Mode since 1980, Andy Fletcher, died on May 26. He was 60 years old.

Bruce MacVittie

"The Sopranos" and "Sex and the City" star Bruce MacVittie died on May 7 at the age of 65.

Mike Hagerty

Actor Mike Hagerty, known for his roles in "Friends" and "Somebody Somewhere" among others, died on May 6 at age 67.
