Barbie seems to be a favorite on Santa’s list this year!

Created in 1959, the famous Barbie doll is experiencing a resurgence in popularity since 2020, after two decades of decline.

And her gain in popularity is so significant, she could dethrone the two best-selling Christmas gifts, Nintendo and LEGO, reports The Mirror, based on data collected from toy retailers.

2023 will also be an exceptional year for the doll, as she will have her own movie with Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken!

If Barbie becomes the most popular toy this year, Mattel will be able to boast of a real achievement, since Nintendo and LEGO seemed to be indestructible until recently.
