Trump: «We get a lot of bull thrown at us by Putin»

The U.S. President spoke strongly to the media about Vladimir Putin, during a meeting of his cabinet.

Trump expressed his annoyance at the attitude of the Russian president, whom he accuses of doing nothing to advance peace between Ukraine and Russia, contrary to what he had hoped.

«We get a lot of bull thrown at us by Putin,» Trump said during the meeting.

He added that he was not satisfied with the Russian president, pointing out that even if Putin is «very nice» to him, «it turns out to be meaningless».

Since the start of his second term, Trump has constantly flattered Putin, letting him gain ground and slowing military aid to Ukraine, in the apparent prospect of being able to negotiate a peace deal, while adopting a tough tone towards the Ukrainian president.

But these attempts at rapprochement with the Kremlin proved futile, and Trump now seems to have taken note, announcing on the same day the resumption of defensive arms deliveries to Ukraine, still targeted by brutal and incessant Russian attacks.
