Man goes to Walmart for some cheese balls. He wasn’t prepared for how they’d be shelved: ‘I would actually lose my mind’

Sometimes finding a specific item at Walmart can feel like a scavenger hunt. One shopper thought he was in for that while searching for a container of cheese balls.
Instead, he turned a corner and discovered that Walmart had apparently made them impossible to miss.
A store full of cheese balls
A content creator named Dylan (@iamdylanbedard) films himself in the cereal aisle of the store while describing what he's looking for. His TikTok has since racked up more than 900,000 views.
“Guys … I'm at the [expletive] store, and I'm trying to find cheese balls … Like … I don't know where they keep them.”
He briefly explains he's looking for the kind that come in a big plastic container, remembering one identifying detail: “They're [in this] container with a purple lid…”
Before he can finish the thought, he pans the camera to his right.
There, stacked along what appears to be the entire length of the aisle, are dozens upon dozens of giant containers of Utz cheese balls. The abrupt reveal is, of course, the joke. Dylan didn't make the post thinking he'd get an audience.
“I like recording funny short videos all the time so my first reaction was to turn it into a joke and send it to a couple friends,” he tells Buzz News. “Turns out almost a million people think it's funny as well.”
‘Have you tried turning the store on and off?'
Viewers were entertained by the almost Lynchian absurdity of the display.
“Why are they spaced like it's Covid? Are they not allow to touch??” asked one commenter.
“This would trip me out … they're endless what are we stocking up for” another viewer added.
“Why're they in the cereal aisle? I'm so confused,” a third viewer asked.
Walmart's corporate account even chimed in, asking, “Have you tried turning the store on and off?” Utz replied, “The cereal aisle is the first place I'd check…”
The creator made a follow-up video of himself going back to Walmart in which he says, “we have to go get the cheese balls…we have to actually purchase the so-called cheese balls.”

Why does Walmart have so many cheese balls?
It's unclear why Walmart had so many cheese balls, but huge displays like this aren't always as random as they appear. A store might work through an oversized shipment of one product, for instance, and use it to fill space while resetting a section.
In Dylan's case, though, the strategy (or rather happy coincidence) worked too well. He went looking for cheese balls, and Walmart gave him an entire aisle's worth.
