A creature of more than 225 million years discovered
An ancient creature dating back more than 225 million years, which greatly resembles a shrew, was discovered by researchers just recently, reports CNN.

A team of Brazilian and British scientists said that the quadrangular Brasilodon, the small shrew-like creature in question, roamed the earth about 225 million years ago.

Researchers from the Natural History Museum in London, King’s College London and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul made the discovery of the 20-centimeter mammal.

It should be noted that this mammal is the oldest in the world identified so far from “fossil” dental data.

It is thus 20 million years older than the oldest mammal confirmed before its discovery.
