Amber Heard refused Johnny Depp’s $16M
She must sell her house to pay her ex-husband

Unsealed court documents showed that Amber Heard waived a payment in his divorce of Johnny Depp which could have reached tens of millions of dollars, as the actress struggles financially and has to sell her California home, the Daily Mail reported.

Documents show that the American actress ignored advice from her legal team not to sue her ex-husband for the maximum amount of money she was entitled to after filing for divorce in 2016.

She could have asked for half of the $33 million Depp earned for filming the fourth film of Pirates of the Caribbean was made while they were married.

But Heard chose not to and wrote them an email saying she was “true to (her) word, that this is not about money.”

A judge refused to allow this evidence to be admitted in Depp’s defamation trial against Heard.

The actress was ordered to pay Johnny Depp a total of $8.3 million after being found guilty of defamation, but says she doesn’t have enough money to do so.

So she reportedly began collecting some of that money by selling her Yucca Valley home in the California desert for $1.05 million, a profit of about $500,000 for Heard, according to TMZ.
