Ashton Kutcher reveals his fight against a strange disease
Actor Ashton Kutcher confided to Bear Grylls, during the filming of In the Wilderness with Bear Grylls.

Kutcher confided about an autoimmune disease that attacked him.

The disease in question has robbed the Hollywood star of some of his senses, including sight, hearing as well as his balance. The problem, or autoimmune disease, was a rare (and bizarre) form of vasculitis (causes inflammation of the blood vessel walls).

When this presented itself two years ago, the 44-year-old actor was afraid he would never regain his hearing, sight and legs. The fear of never using his legs again actually made him realize how much one should appreciate what one has.

Kutcher has made a full recovery from the disease for more than a year and has come a long way since then.

He said he has grown as a result of the vasculitis, which has allowed him to look at life in a more positive way.

Kutcher also said he no longer takes anything for granted in his life.
