Elon Musk video appearance for German far-right party raises even more concerns

Elon Musk, who seems to enjoy meddling in the electoral processes of various countries, after having contributed to Donald Trump’s victory in the United States, has this time been virtually involved during the launch of the electoral campaign of the AfD (Alternative für Deutschland), the German far-right party.

His statements made on this occasion have generated strong condemnation reactions in Germany and internationally.

In front of a crowd of about 4,500 supporters, Musk made highly criticized remarks, as he was recently accused of performing a “Nazi salute” during Donald Trump’s inauguration.

During his speech, Musk notably criticized multiculturalism, arguing that it dilutes German culture and encouraged far-right supporters to “be proud to be German,” statements that were quickly condemned by many, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and also members of families of Holocaust victims.
