Joe Biden brings Brittney Griner home, but may face some criticism

Joe Biden just pulled off one of his best movessince he’s been holding the U.S. reins by bringing Brittney Griner back to the States. The WNBA player is finally coming home after about five months in a cell in Russia.

To pull off this master stroke, Biden traded prisoner Viktor Bout, the notorious Russian arms dealer who was selling a sentence in the United States.

Bout was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2012 as he conspired to kill Americans, hence the source of his nickname the “death dealer.”

Biden certainly brings a big wave of happiness and relief to millions with this “release” of Griner, who was sentenced to nine years in prison for carrying cannabis oil in her luggage.

However, Bout’s release will be met with much criticism, as some believed he was going to be “traded” in return for Paul Whelan, an ex-Marine convicted in Russia of espionage.

However, the important thing about this one is that the Whelan family is very comfortable and totally understands the nature of this trade.

All in all, Griner will be back for the holiday season and his severely damaged psychological aspect will be able to begin a rebuild sooner than later.
