Johnny Depp would reprise his role as Jack Sparrow

Just weeks after winning a libel case, Johnny Depp is reportedly about to be confirmed to reprise his famous role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

According to the New York Post,Johnny Depp would receive more than 300 million dollars to return to Pirates of the Caribbean. Quite a turnaround for the actor who had been ruthlessly dismissed from the franchise in 2018 due to allegations of abuse by his ex Amber Heard. A situation that would have made the actor lose $ 22.5 million at the time.

A source close to Disney reportedly dropped this bombshell in a new interview with Australian media outlet Poptopic.

“The deal would be for Johnny Depp to come back as Jack Sparrow.”

“Disney is very interested in re-establishing its relationship with Johnny Depp. They contacted the actor before his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard and asked him if he would be interested in returning for another ‘Pirates’ movie or two.”

According to the New York Post, the rumored return, which would be worth $301 million, would see Johnny Depp “return as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and a Disney Plus spin-off series about the life of the captain of the Black Pearl,” the source said.

“What I can tell you is that the studio has already drafted a movie about Jack Sparrow and they’re hoping Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character,” the tipster said.

Earlier this month, Johnny Depp was awarded more than $10 million in his high-profile defamation lawsuit.

But before Disney makes its decision on whether or not to bring Johnny Depp back as Captain Jack Sparrow, he will be seen in a documentary series next month on Fandor.
