Jonathan Huberdeau will leave his brain to scientists
Hockey player Jonathan Huberdeau, now a member of the Calgary Flames, said he will leave his brain to science following his death.

“As an NHL player, I’m very aware of the impact of head injuries, concussions and the link to other mental health issues,” he said.

With this move, Huberdeau will help researchers who focus on brains that have received violent contact learn more about everything related to concussions.

Hubby was involved in a big trade earlier this summer, when the Flames acquired him along with MacKenzie Weeger, Cole Schwindt and a first round pick in 2025 in return for Matthew Tkachuk.
