King Charles’ prostate sends him to hospital
Buckingham Palace has announced that Charles III will undergo surgery to correct a benign enlargement of the prostate. In order to recover, King Charles will have to temporarily postpone his royal duties.

Buckingham Palace has issued an official statement confirming a benign prostatic hypertrophy, a condition common in older men that can lead to urinary disorders. It is important to stress that this medical condition is not linked to an increased risk of prostate cancer.

This announcement follows that of Kate Middleton’s hospitalization. The latter is currently hospitalized after undergoing abdominal surgery. Although not related to cancer, the seriousness of the situation has been underlined, with a two-week hospital stay and several months’ rest planned for the Duchess.
