Lewis Hamilton’s incredible victory at Silverstone in photos

It was an important day for all British F1 drivers as the Silverstone GP took place, but particularly so for Lewis Hamilton, who was there with Mercedes for the last time.

Lewis Hamilton had to battle with Max Verstappen, but also fellow British driver Lando Norris, right to the end.

Victory was decided in the pits, as Mercedes performed well for Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton crossed the finish line first, much to everyone’s surprise.

The seven-time world champion soon showed plenty of emotion.

Wrapped in the British flag, Hamilton shed tears on several occasions, including with his father and Bono from the Mercedes team.

A historic victory that delighted the British public…

…who celebrated with his iconic driver!

Then the tears gave way to pure joy, generated by his team and everyone on site.

It was indeed clear that we had just witnessed a great race in F1 history.

Of course, the driver also celebrated with his dog, Roscoe!

A unique moment, which even his fellow pilots seemed to enjoy with him.

A very special victory, his 104th in Formula 1, a record.

Many are now wondering whether Lewis Hamilton will regret his decision to leave Mercedes, with whom he won 7 drivers’ championships, to join Ferrari next year.

Only time will tell, but for now, the end of his association with Mercedes looks set to be a happy one.
