In response to a CNN report on the damage caused to Iran’s nuclear facilities, US President Donald Trump demanded that journalist Natasha Bertrand be fired and “thrown out like a dog”.
"Three days of Fake News," according to Trump

“Natasha Bertrand should be FIRED from CNN! I watched her for three days doing Fake News. She should be IMMEDIATELY reprimanded, then thrown out like a dog,” he posted on Truth Social.
CNN supports Bertrand

In response to the head of state’s comments, CNN said it “100% support Natasha Bertrand’s journalism”, as well as that of her colleagues.
Iran's nuclear program only delayed, says CNN

CNN was the first media outlet to reveal that last weekend’s US airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites had not completely destroyed the key infrastructure of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.the key infrastructure of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. The nuclear project would only be delayed by a few months, according to the American media.
Other media confirm CNN's revelations

Other media outlets, including the New York Times, Associated Press and ABC News, subsequently relayed the same information.
Trump's triumphant declarations

This contrasts with President Trump’s triumphant declarations after the attacks. He repeatedly described the American offensive as a “legendary success” and “total obliteration”.
"FIRE NATASHA!"

“She lied on the Laptop from Hell Story, and now she lied on the Nuclear Sites Story, attempting to destroy our Patriot Pilots by making them look bad when, in fact, they did a GREAT job and hit ‘pay dirt’ — TOTAL OBLITERATION!” Trump said in the post. “She should not be allowed to work at Fake News CNN. It’s people like her who destroyed the reputation of a once great Network. Her slant was so obviously negative, besides, she doesn’t have what it takes to be an on camera correspondent, not even close. FIRE NATASHA!”, he added.
An initial assessment of DIA

CNN reported that this first US intelligence assessment was produced by the Pentagon’s intelligence agency (DIA). It is based on a damage analysis carried out by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) after the strikes, according to one of CNN’s sources.
Centrifuges spared and uranium moved before forward attacks

Two of the people involved in the assessment told CNN that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium had not been destroyed. One said the centrifuges were largely “intact”. Another source added that, according to available information, the enriched uranium had been removed from the sites before the US strikes.
Analysis still in progress

CNN also stressed that this analysis was still ongoing, and could evolve as the investigation progresses.
The White House disputes the report

The White House has acknowledged the existence of this assessment, while declaring that it disagrees with its conclusions.
