Woman goes to work. Then she realizes someone brought in Texas Roadhouse for the team: ‘I can not eat this’

A content creator is boycotting Texas Roadhouse. The reason why? Apparently, there's a viral rumor going around that servers at the steakhouse spit in Black customers' food.

The content creator, who goes by the handle The A-Lista on TikTok (@reallyalista), posted a video that received more than 316,000 views. In it, she said that someone brought Texas Roadhouse for other staff members, but she wouldn't be digging in.

The untouched rolls

The A-Lista said, “ Y'all, I came to work, and I looked at the table,” while panning to a box of Texas Roadhouse rolls. Then the content creator said she wouldn't be able to eat anything from the popular steakhouse.

In the comment section, viewers expressed confusion. Was the content creator gluten-free? Why couldn't she eat anything?

“I definitely missed something……. Important,” one viewer said.

Others filled in the gaps.

“[Servers] around the country posted in a group how they spit in the food of black customers,” a commenter said.

Another commenter claimed, “They are boycotting TX Roadhouse over a FAKE Facebook post about employees spitting in black people's food.”

Then a third added, “Whoever brought those most definitely knew what they were doing. I would've dumped everything out and filled it with a bunch of Salitines.”

Why the boycott?

The commenters are referring to a viral incident in August 2026, wherein a whistleblower made a post that allegedly featured discussions from a Facebook group called “White and Proud.” According to multiple sources, members in the group, who added that they're servers, said they intentionally tamper with Black customers' food. According to ABC News affiliate KTXS 12, “Texas Roadhouse and Logan's Roadhouse were both named in the post.”

Texas Roadhouse responded to the situation, saying, “We are aware of the video that is being shared with an accusation that has been made toward our restaurants. We believe it to be completely unfounded, and we take every accusation toward our brand seriously. We are investigating this alleged abhorrent behavior and remain committed to treating every guest with respect, dignity, and the Legendary Service they deserve,” the company said.

The company added that there has been no “credible evidence of food tampering,” and that it brought in a third-party to investigate the situation further. Later, Texas Roadhouse stated that the situation was an online hoax, per the Houston Chronicle.
