No need for Trump, Harris wants to finish “the wall”

Kamala Harris, U.S. vice-president and Democratic presidential candidate, has made a major political shift by announcing her support for continued construction of the border wall.

Yes, THE (in)famous wall!

The VP pledges to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the project along the border with Mexico.

As the Vice President lays out her agenda and policies for the November elections, a notable policy shift is drawing reactions: she has announced her intention to invest heavily in building the wall on the US-Mexico border, a project once associated with Donald Trump.

At the end of the week of the Democratic convention, Kamala Harris announced in her speech that she wanted to strengthen border security and it seems that she wants to deliver the goods with this new election promise and, to the surprise of everyone, including the majority of Republicans.

Remember that in her acceptance speech, she had also announced that she would sign a bipartisan bill on border security.

This bill, initially proposed by the Republicans at Trump’s request, was nevertheless supported by the majority of the key players on the issue.

The Vice President’s shift in stance, as she unveils her own policy positions, is intended to send a clear message to Americans: she will take a more aggressive approach to border security…

…which will probably reassure voters who might be concerned about the Democrats’ lack of firmness on the issue.
