Former Facebook employee accuses Meta of breaching national security and conspiring with China

According to Sarah Wynn-Williams, a former Facebook employee, Meta officials allegedly shared sensitive information about emerging technologies with Chinese officials.

She considers that these informations may have constituted a threat to the national security of the United States.

Williams exposed these accusations in a recently published book, where she not only denounces these serious facts, but also mentions inappropriate behavior and harassment that she claims to have suffered within the company led by Mark Zuckerberg.

However, it’s the accusations made in his memoirs about potentially sensitive information that Meta allegedly shared with China on several occasions that caught the attention of Congress, to the point of leading to his being summoned as a witness.

According to NBC News, which would have had access to Sarah Wynn-Williams’ prepared statements, she claims that Meta would have shared sensitive information with China.

The goal would have been, according to her, to build an $18 billion company in this country.

Williams claims that Meta would have carried out its activities with the Chinese Communist Party in the biggest secret.

She also claims that the company would have lied about it, hiding the truth from employees, shareholders, Congress, and the American public.

According to Williams, who worked at Facebook from 2011 to 2017, the company could have started informing China since 2015.
